She has a special interest in helping parents successfully "launch" their young adult children.

Dr. Ward has developed curricula for Men's Anger Management Groups and Couple's Intimacy Groups. Her interest in improving and strengthening relationships between parents and children has produced the Happy Homes Chore Management System, literature on responding to children's emotional reactions, and parent training groups on Emotion Coaching. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ward teaches principles of healthy family dynamics at Working Solutions and offers consulting services to daycare centers.

Dr. Ward has received specialized training in the interface of psychology with religion, theology, and spiritual formation. For those who wish to do so, her practice provides a setting in which clients may draw upon their personal spiritual principles and beliefs when confronting emotional and psychological issues.
